Over the last 35 long years, we have been continuously developing and delivering world-class homes and offices, but two years ago we realized that now it was time to raise the bar even higher and bring together the finest from across the world."

"Lodha Altamount our latest offering from Lodha Luxury Collection, will redefine and raise the benchmark for finest luxury experience in the country," he noted.

According to him, the luxury collection is a new umbrella brand from Lodha that aims to be the world’s finest, first-of-its-kind, international end-to-end luxury portfolio.

"It would launch rare and exquisite residences that are artfully created with the highest level of design, workmanship and service to offer for the world’s most discerning buyers the very best. Lodha Altamount, the first development from The Luxury Collection is a perfect description of these beautifully created residences at the most coveted address promising an exclusive living experience. It is for these reasons and more, we expect strong interest from Middle East based non-resident Indians," he added.

Lodha Altamount is built on the site of Washington House, the former US Consulate in South Mumbai, on Altamount Road and a quiet 2-km stretch on a hill overlooking the city that was rated as the tenth most expensive street in the world.

The well-connected neighbourhood is still home to a number of diplomatic headquarters and is within a short drive of several of Mumbai’s most famous society spots including Breach Candy Club (eight minutes), the Royal Western India Turf Club (ten minutes) and the Willingdon Sports Club with its 18-hole golf course (ten minutes).

Designed by German-Iranian architectural firm Hadi Teherani Group, Lodha Altamount has been conceived as an iconic symbol for Mumbai’s future that asserts its identity against the city’s busy skyline, said Lodha.

The all glass floor to ceiling ensures that Lodha Altamount’s uninterrupted 180° views from its elevated position at the highest point in the city cover the race course, Queen’s Necklace and Haji Ali Mosque towards the Arabian Sea are central to the living spaces created at the development, he stated.

Each residence at Lodha Altamount occupies an entire floor offering a combination of security and the feeling of almost infinite space, which is further enhanced by the 13 feet floor to floor height.

Homes are wrapped on three sides by floor-to-ceiling glass with a tinted glaze that frames the view, but safeguards privacy and reduces glare. Delivered as a bare shell, residents can create a unique home to their own taste with the large, light-filled rooms providing the perfect gallery space for hanging rare art and displaying antiques, collectables and furniture.

The select five-bedroom pool villas also boast impressive private infinity pools, a yoga deck and an open air dining area that lends itself to entertaining. As the pinnacle of the development, the Washington House triplex penthouse is a truly rare proposition on a global scale and is available for purchase by invitation only.

According to him, the refined opulence of the homes at Lodha Altamount extends into the development’s extensive communal areas and facilities with interiors by acclaimed specialist Rajiv Saini & Associates.

Recently rated as the seventh most influential designer by Forbes, Rajiv Saini is famed for the signature hues and sophisticated finish that transformed the historic Devi Garh Palace Hotel near Udaipur in Rajasthan, stated Lodha.

Residents-only recreational amenities are spread across two floors and include a club with 25-metre outdoor temperature-controlled swimming pool, fitness suite and spa, and an enchanting rooftop observatory with an indoor pool more than 500 feet above ground that also lends itself to private events staffed by Altamount’s experienced staff.

Families are well catered for with an on-site sports field, play area and crèche, as well as The Movie Lounge, which will show the latest blockbusters complimented by thoughtfully designed party venues with a catering kitchen, said the developer.
