Kuwait, the development darling of the 70s, is hitting the headlines again for the right reasons as the country’s public and private sector bosses steer it to a new era of progress powered by an overflowing treasury and confident entrepreneurs.







Kuwait is currently evaluating the technical aspects of the KD25 billion ($85.6 billion) Madinat Al Hareer (City of Silk) project, a one-of-its-kind development which will be home to the world’s tallest tower at 1,001 m.

Work is well under way on what is claimed to be the largest pumping station in the Gulf under a KD70 million ($240 million) turnkey contract awarded to leading Kuwait-based construction company Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons.






Kuwait-based contracting firm Recafco is currently handling projects worth a total of KD75 million ($259 million), according to Reda Al Ramady, the construction manager of the company.
