Omagine has appointed Consolidated Contractors Company Oman (CCC) as the general contractor for its 300-acre residential and entertainment complex planned in Oman. CCC, the local Omani subsidiary of Consolidated Contractors Group (CCG), will be responsible for all construction activities for the company's Omagine Project.






Oman’s $20 billion Blue City project, which broke ground in the midst of dignitaries last month, marking the commencement of the construction of the mega project. Billed to be the largest development in Oman, the Blue City is expected to create an entirely new city of more than 250,000 people, once complete.






Bids in for $10bn Saudi railway Kuwaiti logistics firm Agility and a group of Saudi and foreign firms submitted bids for a $10 billion Saudi railway project, the company's chairman said. Chairman Tarek Al Sultan said the firm had bid in a consortium with US firms KBR, General Electric Company and Saudi Arabia's Al Rajhi Bank.

Kuwait-based Alargan International Real Estate Company has recently commenced construction work on Saar Gate, its first development project in Bahrain with an estimated value of BD21 million ($55.83 million). A first-of-its-kind in the country, the project will specifically cater to the needs of the middle-income local families.






Pearl Development and Real Estate Company (PDREC), a consortium of GCC investors, has announced plans to launch  the Platinum Tower — its second project in Bahrain. Construction work on the project was slated to commence last month.
