The viaduct installation for the Red Line of the Dubai Metro has been completed ahead of schedule, says Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). A 3-M-THICK basement raft slab with 1,900 tonnes of steel reinforcement has been put in place for the Infinity Tower in Dubai, following a continuous pour of 7,000 cu m of concrete. The 39-hour pour was overseen by Currie & Brown, the project and cost manager on the tower.

Palm Water has activated its first temporary water sewage treatment plant (STP) as part of a water and wastewater plant design, build, own and operate (DBOO) contract with the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (Jafza) with an original budget of $550 million.






AN advanced vacuum sewerage system has been installed on The Palm Jumeirah. Not only is this the first system of its kind in the UAE, it is also the largest of its kind anywhere in the world, says Nakheel, a Dubai World company and the project’s developer.

Memon Investments has launched a new tower in Dubai Sports City (DSC). Called Champions Tower IV, the Dh250 million ($68 million) tower is in line with the developer’s plans to invest Dh2.5 billion ($680 million) in various property projects within the booming UAE market in the second half of this year.
