GRC

DESPITE the global economic downturn, the use of GRC in the Gulf region continues at record levels thanks to the ability of the material to allow fast construction whilst offering attractive and intricate design possibilities, says the International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA).

THE most common admixtures are those that reduce the water demand and/or improve fluidity. These admixtures aid the dispersion of cement and are generically referred to as plasticisers with the early forms being based on lignosulfonates.

ARABIAN Tiles Company (Artic), which acquired a local glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC) manufacturing unit in 1993, has made giant strides in the GRC market since it entered into the business. Today, Artic GRC has much to boast about.
