AN ARRAY of Hilti firestop products has been used to provide passive fire protection to the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Dubai.

FIRE is defined as a rapid, persistent chemical change that releases heat and light and is accompanied by flame, especially the exothermic oxidation of a combustible substance. Definitions aside, fire is also dangerous, although it can be tamed or contained.

DOORS manufactured by Halspan Limited, a leading UK-based provider of timber-based fire door products, have undergone a number of tests to successfully demonstrate their performance throughout their service life. The tests were conducted in partnership with Chiltern International Fire (CIF).
