THE environment and green buildings products are once again the overriding focus of this year’s Big 5 show, as close to 3,000 exhibitors – both regional and international – showcase their best, latest and in many cases “pioneering” and “revolutionary” products and services this month (November 23 to 26) in Dubai, UAE.
THE Big 5 PMV is staking claim to being the ‘heavyweight construction event’ of the region as leading international manufacturers of towering cranes, mammoth trucks, gigantic mobile concrete pumps, batching plant and a range of access equipment gear up for the show being held alongside The Big 5 show this month.
THE global slowdown has not dampened the enthusiasm of UK companies that are coming out in force to have a major presence at this year’s Big 5, says the Construction Products Association, which is once again co-ordinating the UK pavilion at the show.
WITH more than 240 companies and 4,600 sq m of exhibition space at Zabeel Hall, the German pavilion is the biggest of the national groups at The Big 5 show this year too after claiming a similar honour over the past few years. The participating companies will offer high-quality products and services all related to the construction sector.
THE US pavilion returns to The Big 5 this year with 30 companies exhibiting over a 200-sq-m pavilion in Hall 9 of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). Organised by Clarkesmith International, the US pavilion made its debut at the show last year with 22 companies spread over an area of 144 sq m.
A TOTAL of 26 companies will be present at the Brazilian pavilion at The Big 5 and will introduce a number of innovations to the region at the show. The firms represent industries such as stone, ceramics, wood, bathroom fittings and various building products.
THE Spanish Association of Equipment Manufacturers for the Construction and Mining Industries (ANMOPYC), one of Spain’s most important associations, is leading the country’s pavilion at this year’s Big 5 show.
