Northern Emirates

HIT by the financial downturn and the property market crash in Dubai, the construction sector in the Northern Emirates has remained subdued over the past year.






RAS Al Khaimah marked the recent opening of the Ice Land Water Park, which boasts the world’s largest manmade waterfall and rain dance pool. The much-awaited ice-themed water park, which is the first phase of the 125-acre Wow RAK theme park and resort destination, opened its doors to the public at the end of September.

PILING work is under way on a hotel and commercial tower at the Bab Al Bahr project located on Al Marjan Island, the first man-made island in Ras Al Khaimah. Located on the peninsula of the island called ‘The Gateway to Island Living’, the project comprises a hotel, a shopping mall, an office tower and six residential towers.
