BARELY a year after the first shovel hit the ground, Fujairah’s first integrated retail, leisure and entertainment shopping mall is all set to welome visitors this month.

WITH the successful completion of the Fujairah City Centre, international consultancy and construction company Mace Group has added another prestigious project to its portfolio. The company provided project management services for the landmark development that was carried out on a fast-track basis.

SOME half million concrete blocks and around 50,000 to 70,000 sq m/linear m of interlocking paving and curbstones have been supplied by the Fujairah Building Industries (FBI) for the landmark Fujairah City Centre project. The company has been associated with the project since its early days in March 2011, according to the FBI.

TRANS Gulf Electro Mechanical is currently close to completing the commissioning of all the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services at the Fujairah City Centre project.

ONE of the world’s most environment-friendly elevators has just been commissioned at the Fujairah City Centre.

AS LEAD consultant and architect of record on the Fujairah City Centre project, Hyder Consulting Middle East has played a key role in ensuring that the landmark development remains on track. In fact, the centre is now poised to open its doors to trade six weeks ahead of schedule, in line with the client’s objective of 100 per cent occupancy.

HUDA Lighting has utilised its extensive expertise in the lighting sector to supply the requirements of the Fujairah City Centre while satisfying the technical criteria of the consultants and keeping in mind the aesthetic aspects of this project.

MIDDLE East Insulation (MEI), part of Middle East Industries Group, says ‘Superseam’, its standing seam metal roof, was chosen by the project consultants to achieve a 100-per cent leak-proof roof for the Fujairah City Centre.

RMD Kwikform engineers and site supervisors provided Rapidshor- and Kwikstage-based shoring and formwork solutions for contractor Khansaheb Civil Engineering, to support the fast-track construction of the Fujairah City Centre.

MAPEI is supplying a number of high-end solution-based products to the Fujairah City Centre including screed, adhesives, sealants, grouts and waterproofing products that are helping in speed up work at the development while offering a range of installation benefits.
