Dubai is set to hit headlines again – this time for a record-setting net-zero energy building. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has started construction of a new headquarters, which will be the tallest, largest, and smartest net-zero energy building (NZEB) in the world.

UAE-based Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has launched the first-of-its-kind sustainable autonomous house in the UAE and announced plans to set up a laboratory to  conducting experiments and tests for devices, systems and materials designed for such homes.
