The Sharjah-based Barjeel Art Foundation intends to build a unique art museum that resembles a fortress, which will be located in a semi-industrial area on the periphery of the UAE city.

Australian engineering consultancy GHD delivered a wide range of services for the recently opened Jubail Mangrove Park, a first-of-its-kind ecotourism project in the UAE, focused on raising environmental awareness of the mangrove habitat. The community park was developed by Abu Dhabi-based Modon Properties.

Hopkins Architects, a pioneer British architecture firm, has announced the opening of Buhais Geology Park, which lies 48 km southeast of Sharjah at a site that contains 65-million-year-old fossils, and ancient burial sites from the stone, bronze and iron ages.
