Abu Dhabi Power Corporation (ADPower) said it has signed an agreement with Tadweer for the development of two waste-to-energy (WtE) plants with a total capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per year. ADPower will be implementing the project in partnership with its subsidiary Emirates Water and Electricity Company (Ewec).






Malaysian group Serba Dinamik Holdings has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services contract worth $1.8 billion from US-based Block 7 Investments for an innovation hub and academic campus, besides related facilities and information technology (IT) infrastructure, in Abu Dhabi.






Sharjah-based developer Alef Group has announced that 68 per cent of the construction work has been completed on the first phase of its mixed-use community Al Mamsha and the project is scheduled for handover by the year-end.






UAE-based National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) said it has reached an agreement with leading Dubai developer Emaar Properties for the acquisition of a 80 per cent stake in its Downtown Dubai district cooling business for Dh2.48 billion ($675 million).  Downtown Dubai is Emaar’s flagship mega-development at the heart of the city.






Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE’s integrated railway network, has awarded a contract worth Dh846 million ($230 million) for the construction of its central operation and maintenance (O&M) facility at Al Faya, Abu Dhabi.






UAE developer Aldar Properties said it has started handover of all the 636 apartments within the first three towers at The Bridges on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, while construction is advancing on the remaining three towers in the development. The Bridges will feature pop-up shops, a café, and outdoor fitness equipment.
