Nakheel, the Dubai-based world-leading master developer, has unveiled a new vision for Dubai Islands which will redefine the concept of waterfront living.  Comprising five islands with a total area of 17 sq km, Dubai Islands have been designed to enhance the wellbeing and lifestyles of residents and visitors.






Faithful+Gould, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has been awarded the project management consultancy (PMC) services contract by Masdar City, to support on the development of the Masdar City Square (MC2) project, which will include Abu Dhabi’s first net zero energy office building on completion.






Global real estate advisor CBRE said it had provided valuation advice to Emirati developer Aldar Properties on the purchase of four commercial office towers and associated car parks in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) on Al Maryah Island for $1.2 billion, said to be one of the largest real estate transactions in the UAE.






Construction work on the 950 MW fourth phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MBR) Solar Park in Dubai – the largest single-site solar park in the world – is now 90 per cent complete.






Leading UAE developer Damac Properties said it has started piling work for Cavalli Tower, an ultra-luxurious 70-storey building that was launched last year. The Cavalli-branded skyscraper, located in Dubai Marina, is being built at a total investment of $545 million.






Emaar Properties has announced that it would fully acquire Dubai Creek Harbour, a major development located along the historic Dubai Creek waterfront, from Dubai Holding for a consideration of AED7.5 billion ($2.04 billion) to be paid equally in cash and shares of Emaar Properties.






Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE National Rail Network, has marked a new milestone in the development of the rail network with the arrival of the first batches of the company’s new and advanced rolling stock fleet.






UAE-based Azizi Developments last month celebrated the handover of its key 634-unit project, Creek Views I, located in Dubai Healthcare City. The mixed-use development comprises 396 studios and 218 one- and 20 two-bedroom units as well as 33,341 sq ft of premium retail space.
