There has been perceptible vibrancy in Oman’s construction sector over the past few months, thanks to the increased interest in the sultanate’s real estate and tourism sectors, rise in government spending on infrastructure and efforts to diversify the heavily oil-revenue-reliant economy.






In June this year, Oman unveiled plans for Sultan Haitham City, its first smart city, which will offer over 20,000 new homes on a pristine 14.8-sq-km site in Al-Seeb, west of Muscat.






Nestled amidst the tranquil foothills of Oman’s picturesque mountains in Muscat, overlooking the enchanting Sea of Oman, a new trailblazing futuristic city is taking shape.






Oman’s first integrated tourism complex Al Mouj Muscat has recently launched Jinan Island, the last island plot within the premier lifestyle destination, and has already initiated ground improvement works on the luxury development.
