Villas at Warkaa

Dubai-based Al Basti & Muktha (ABM), the main contractor for the 271 villas, says it is proud to have been associated with this landmark project. Work on the Dh122 million ($33.22 million) project commenced in April 2000 and was completed last month (December), ahead of schedule.






Ajman Korea Furniture supplied and installed doors, frames and kitchen cabinets for the 271 villas at Al Warkaa, Dubai. The company started work on its Dh4 million ($1.08 million) contract in July 2000 and completed it in October 2001, says CT Thomas, commercial manager of the Ajman-based firm.






Al Gurg Leigh's Paints supplied both interior and exterior paints for the 271 villas project. "The promoters of the mammoth 271-villa housing project at Al Warkaa chose only the best in construction materials," says Philip Mathew, general manager for Dubai-based Al Gurg Leigh's Paints.






RAK Ceramics (Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics), which supplied and installed wall and floor tiles and sanitary ware for the new 271 villas at Al Warkaa, is currently setting up one of the world's most advanced ceramic plants in the UAE.






Dubai-based Thermo is one of the leaders in the field of mechanical and electrical contracting and facilities management with the capability to provide complete design-and-build services on even the most complex turnkey projects, says Essam Abul Husn, deputy general manager.






Dubai-based Ugarit Furniture designed, manufactured and installed all the wardrobes in the 271 villas at Al Warkaa. Ugarit Furniture is a member of the Hassani Group, which has diversified interests and more than 1,000 employees. The company was established in 1998 to cater to a growing demand for quality furniture.






On prime land on the outskirts of Dubai, a prestigious housing development, which is expected to meet demands for high quality, affordable housing from UAE nationals, has just been completed ahead of schedule, thanks to meticulous project management.
