Airport Construction

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is investing heavily in airport infrastructure, with $182.6 billion worth of projects under way and a strong focus on mega-hubs in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

TK Elevator (TKE) has announced that it has been awarded a major package (Package 3) covering the aircraft aprons and taxiways and service buildings at the Kuwait International Airport (KWI). The scope of work includes the supply, delivery, installation, and a two-year maintenance contract of 55 passenger boarding bridges.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) has recently awarded key delivery partner contracts to US firms Bechtel and Parsons, as the kingdom pushes ahead with the development of its new mega state-of-the art airport in Riyadh – a project set to welcome international visitors to the Expo 2030.
