Saudi Arabia's Aljomaih Holding Company has won high praise from Japan's TCM Corporation for its efforts in launching the revolutionary Acroba series of forklifts and in improving the company's market share in the kingdom. The praise came during a visit to Saudi Arabia by two high ranking executives of the Japanese company.

Contractors have been invited to prequalify for initial work on a massive commercial and residential project in Makkah. When completed, the Jabal Khandama Development will be able accommodate about 50,000 pilgrims during the Ramadan and Haj periods. It will be built on a hill overlooking Al Haram.

Zamil wins buildings deal Zamil Steel has signed a contract to design, fabricate and supply all steel buildings for a poultry project in Oman. The Saudi-based group says it signed the SR12.5 million ($3.3 million) contract with A'saffa Poultry Farms project in Thumrait, in Oman's southern Dhofar region.

Hempel Paints Saudi Arabia has launched a new semi-gloss emulsion to complement its range of other high-quality products. The company says its Semi Gloss Emulsion 58260 complements its range of products such as 58720 (matt), 58330 (satin) and 58650 (gloss).
