Bids were due to be submitted by the end of last month for a contract to build the gateway building at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The 15-storey building will house the Dubai Financial Market and the DIFC headquarters. The estimated Dh147 million ($40 million) project will have a contract period of 18 months.

Work to start on new UAE highway Sharjah: Construction on a highway connecting Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah is expected to begin in April. The new road will be parallel to an existing one and will be completed in phases, said the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
