Dubai is to build the world's first underwater ultra-luxury resort hotel at a cost of more than $500 million. The 107,700 sq m Hydropolis Hotel development will rise out of the sea offshore Jumeirah to set completely new global standards with respect to the quality of experience and living.
The UAE Ministry of Public Works and Housing has floated a tender for the construction of the Dubai-Fujairah Freeway which once completed will halve the travelling time between the two emirates. The 80-km dual expressway - Contract No 4, Fujairah Ring Road - will be built at a cost of between Dh500 million ($136.2 million) and Dh600 million.
