Having crossed its silver jubilee milestone last year, Kadri Consultants is delighted with its growth in the sultanate where it continues to design and supervise work on several landmark residential developments and even government headquarters buildings and hotels.
Its current portfolio includes the Saud Bahwan Plaza project at Ghoubra, a residential complex at Wadi Kabir, the Ministry of Interior headquarters building at Al Khuwair, which is nearly complete, a prestigious hotel in Muscat and a number of automotive facilities.
The Saud Bahwan Plaza is gated community development comprising 576 two- and three-bedroom super-luxury residential apartments. Scheduled for completion in March 2011, the development will have clubhouses and dedicated children’s play areas including a state-of-the-art health-care facility for the residents.
The residential complex at Wadi Kabir – work on which has started – is another gated community which will have 276 apartments and 179 executive staff units with all recreational facilities, a healthcare centre, auditorium and shopping arcade. The project is scheduled to be handed over by February 2010.
Meanwhile, a number of sales, service and spare parts facilities for Toyota and Man are in the design and execution stages. This includes Phase Four of the state-of-the-art, comprehensive vehicle distribution and pre-delivery inspection facility for Toyota, a one-of-its-kind in the world.
“Right from its inception in 1983, Kadri Consultants’ growth has been phenomenal,” says Mustafa Behlim, director for Kadri Consultants. “Today, the company not only provides consultancy services in the field of architecture, structure, electrical, mechanical and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) but also excellent project management and cost consultancy services.”
Speaking on its achievements, Behlim continues: “Our growth speaks volumes about our commitment and quality of services. The biggest asset of the company is its dedicated, experienced and highly-professional team of architects and engineers. Kadri has always focused on excellence.”
“Kadri’s designs are inspiring and blend both Islamic and contemporary architecture, which is well appreciated in the industry and by the end-users.”
The company has an impressive portfolio of projects comprising residential, commercial, educational and industrial buildings, infrastructural development, hospitals, sport complexes, resorts, amusement parks and integrated townships.
The recently-completed integrated Palm Gardens Township at Sohar designed and supervised by the company has redefined luxury living in Oman.
“The total 110,000 sq m of constructed area comprises 144 two-bedroom apartments, 144 three-bedroom apartments, 76 three-bedroom row houses, 73 four-bedroom villas, three clubhouses, a shopping arcade, jogging track and numerous well-equipped children play areas. The facility has centralised gas supply and a sewage treatment plant. Special attention has been given to landscaping, which covers a whopping 150,000 sq m,” explains Behlim.
Also recently completed were two residential buildings comprising 149 luxury two- and three-bedroom apartments with a combined construction area of 51,000 sq m.
The buildings, which feature modern recreational facilities, gymnasiums, a library and indoor games rooms, are highly distinctive on the city’s horizon.
“Today, Kadri is considered one of the leading consultants in Oman, having designed and supervised a substantial number of landmark projects in all corners of the country,” concludes Behlim.
