The 8500TL ... versatile crane.
New locatelli built for rough terrain

ITALIAN crane manufacturer Locatelli has launched its newest model that has been designed for rough terrains.
The GRIL 8500TL, which made its debut at this year’s Intermat show in Paris, France, last April, is said to be versatile at the construction site and bring in more safety for the operator.
The crane has an excellent capacity, a compact size, a five-section boom and a high-profile technology.
“Its distinguishing feature is its extra-long fully telescopic boom which has a reach ranging from 9.47 m to 37.2 m,” says a spokesman for the company.
The rough terrain crane with turntable cab is built with high-strength materials, features a Cummins QSB6.7 engine and is able to lift 50 tonnes.
The 8500TL is configured with five-tonne counterweight and 50-tonne hookblock. Measuring 10,895 mm by 2,540 mm by 3,480 mm, it has four steering modes that allow easy manoeuvrability where space is limited and reaches a maximum speed of 37 kmph.
To ease operations, the crane has a reclining cab that allows greater visibility, comfort and ergonomics conditions.
The 8500TL has an innovative control system for stability and load conditions allowing the operator to automatically set the maximum extent permitted in a particular configuration, while ensuring safety and preventing the risk of human error.
The electronic system of the machine can also integrate a GPS for the cranes location: a useful system for rental companies.
Locatelli is the first Italian company manufacturer of telescopic hydraulic cranes and specialised in the production of rough terrain cranes, ranging from 12.5 tonnes through 60 tonnes capacity, as well as city cranes of 20-tonne and 40-tonne capacity, with a great choice of options for different applications.
The Locatelli cranes are designed, constructed and tested to meet international standards, using the most advanced technologies.
“The success of Locatelli cranes is based on their reliability, high performance level and low maintenance costs as a result of high quality components and long experience of specialised manufacturing,” the spokesman concludes.
