GROHE has taken digitalisation to the bathroom with Ondus Veris Digital and Rainshower Solo Digital premium lines, which are part of Grohe Spa that turns the private bathroom into an oasis of relaxation.
“Digitisation, which is increasingly enriching the modern lifestyle in all spheres of daily life, has also reached the bathroom, facilitating many functions one uses on a daily basis,” says a spokesman for Grohe. “We have decided to leverage the benefits of digitalisation to facilitate everyday body care. The digital control puts the key to comfort and well-being at the consumers’ fingertips. Intuitive operation and state-of-the-art technologies make Veris Digital and Rainshower Solo Digital typical Grohe Spa products, which place the consumer at the centre stage and offer customised solutions.”
“These unique premium lines combine innovative, award-winning design with outstanding technology to create a relaxing, feel-good atmosphere,” he adds.
The vision of the digital bathroom has been realised by the digitalised Veris faucet line and the Rainshower Solo showers. Whether it’s the washbasin, bathtub or shower, each draw-off point is controlled by a compact digital controller. The wireless technology, the modular concept and the coordinated design allow the digital controller to be combined with different bathtub and shower products.

The digital controller ... compact. |
“The digital controller is intuitively and particularly comfortable,” says the spokesman. “The first button starts the water flow, the second reduces the temperature and the third increases it. A light touch with a fingertip is sufficient. For added safety and comfort, an illuminated ring provides visual feedback as the water temperature is chosen. The flow volume is easily controlled by means of the exterior ring with ProGrip on the digital controller, which allows safe operation even with wet or soapy hands.”
He continues: “Veris Digital and Rainshower Solo Digital have a lot to offer. Beside the easy and comfortable operation, the digital controller features a ‘pause’ function, which allows pausing the water flow and restarting it with exactly the same flow rate and temperature. This feature is not only useful when shampooing but is also economical and environment-friendly at the same time. As on other Grohe EcoJoy products, the flow volume can be limited for reduced water consumption without compromising on showering performance.”
Another benefit is that it is possible to read the digital controller from outside the shower and to see when the desired showering temperature is reached. “Cold showers are a thing of the past. The preferred settings can be stored using the memory function and recalled for the next shower or bath,” the spokesman points out.
In addition, Veris Digital enables fully-automatic bathtub filling at a push of a button, where the filling height, water temperature and time are set using the memory function. Once the desired filling height is reached, the water flow stops automatically – a convenient and reliable solution.
Smart digitalisation
The award-winning Grohe thermostat technologies are another advantage of the digital product lines. They are also used for Veris Digital and Rainshower Solo Digital. “Grohe TurboStat reacts in a fraction of a second to fluctuations in water pressure for perfect peace of mind under the shower,” says the spokesman. “Scalding protection is afforded by the Grohe SafeStop function, which is shown on the illuminated ring of the digital controller, where a blinking light indicates that a temperature of 38 deg C has been reached. After repeatedly pressing the button, the temperature can be increased as desired.”
Switching between head, hand and body shower and the bathtub spout is also controlled digitally. The digital diverter, whose design matches that of the digital controller, allows the water outlets to be selected individually or in parallel. Clear symbols and LEDs ensure easy operation.
Remote control
Both the digital controller and the digital diverter use wireless technology, which allows them to be positioned anywhere in the bathroom for greater flexibility in bathroom design. Detached from the faucets, the digital operating elements can be placed ergonomically either on the ceramic elements, the tile edge of the bathtub or even on the wall, just as desired.
The new digital controller and diverter meet the well-known Grohe standards and combine top quality, design and technology seamlessly. They feature premium workmanship, innovative design and state-of-the-art digital functions at an attractive price.
Grohe is now poised to bring digital technology to other areas of the living space: Beside the development of further digital product lines for the bathroom, such as the Allure Digital faucet line and the Rainshower F-Series Digital shower line, digitalisation is also entering the kitchen in the form of products such as K7 Digital and Veris Digital.
