Caterpillar opens Sharjah facility

CATERPILLAR dealer Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar has opened its newly-expanded service and parts facility in Sharjah in a bid to enhance its support services to its customers in the region.

The expansion comprises a state-of-the-art centrally air-conditioned component rebuild centre, covering an area of 3,400 sq m and equipped with a 3,200-hp dynamometer and other testing equipment.  The general repair workshop has also been expanded by 1,400 sq m to include an 800-sq-m new utility shop and an extended parts warehouse of 600 sq m.  The expansion was inaugurated by Caterpillar vice-president Paolo Fellin and Al-Bahar president Issam Al-Bahar.

Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar, founded in 1937, is one of the leading business houses in the Arabian Gulf. It has two major divisions – the machinery group and the general trading group.
