MK CABLE Management (Saudi Arabia) intends to introduce a new range of wiring devices in the near future and is also planning to expand the manufacturing capacity of its state-of-the-art production facility in Jubail Industrial City to offer a complete range of cable management and wiring devices products.

Since its inception in 1986, the Saudi-based company has grown to be the market leader in the manufacture and supply of high-quality PVC electrical conduits and trunking systems and has been the preferred choice of decision-makers, including consultants and specifiers, in the Middle East’s construction industry.

Previously known as Saudi Ega, the company was formed as a joint venture company with MK Electric, a leading manufacturer and supplier of circuit protection, wiring devices, cable management and datacoms. MK Electric, a subsidiary of Honeywell International since 2005, has manufacturing sites in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Singapore,  Malaysia, Indonesia and India.

With a historical record of over 40 years in the Middle East under the brand name of Ega/MK and incorporated under the parent company Honeywell USA, MK Cable Management manufactures PVC conduits, accessories and trunking systems for electrical installations to various international standards under strict quality inspections and audits and are suited to the environment conditions in the Middle East region.

The company has also gained management and quality certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and Saso (Saudi Arabian Standards Organisation) Quality Mark, thus ensuring highest quality and process standards in its manufacturing.

“Growth within MK Cable Management has been consistent over the past 25 years in line with customer and market demands through successful investment in machinery and equipment. In 2002, the company diversified into manufacture of a range of wiring devices under the Ega brand name, which are distributed throughout the Middle East,” says Shiraz Khan, the company’s general manager.

“The latest manufacturing and test equipment ensure that the highest product standards are maintained,” he adds.

MK Cable Management’s conduit systems are manufactured in accordance with the relevant requirements of Saudi Arabia standards SSA 254/255, and also to the requirements of the British Standard BS 6099. Conduit manufacture is strictly monitored by Saso to ensure compliance with its requirements.

The company’s conduits systems have been widely used in most of the prestigious projects throughout the Middle East such as King Abdullah Financial District, Princess Nora University, King Abdullah Economic City, Jizan University and Dammam University Hospital in Saudi Arabia; the Presidential Palace, and Bloom Central mixed-use development, in the UAE; Twin Tower, Qatar; Al Holiday Inn Express Hotel, Bahrain; Summerland, Lebanon; and Hurgada Airport and Aswan Hotel in Egypt.

MK Cable Management’s products are distributed through a strong network of distributors spread across the Middle East and North Africa who are also channel partners and promote the brand name to the end-users.

“With the construction boom currently being witnessed in Saudi Arabia, the company is well poised for continuous growth in the coming years,” Khan concludes.
