SAUDI ARABIA'S Al Mdarij International Marketing Company (Mimco) has recently started a new division to cater to the demand of the country’s booming construction sector and strengthen its presence in the local market.
The new mechanical and powered access division covers all kinds of window cleaning equipment, aluminium scaffold mobile towers and rebar bending and cutting machines. These products are offered in partnership with Altrex of Holland and Ademsan Machinery of Turkey.
Since its establishment in 1998 in Jeddah, Mimco has become a leading player in the scaffolding sector and actively supports the booming construction and real estate market in the region.
'Saudi Arabia’s construction industry is forecast to reach a value of $23 billion and post an annual average growth of four per cent between 2011 and 2015,' says group general manager Afsar Ustad, quoting a report by Business Monitor International. 'To sustain the tremendous growth and potential, various organisations are coming up.'

Mimco has been actively supplying the construction market with a wide range of scaffolding and formwork materials. These include various components and accessories such as pressed steel, forged and prop and column clamps, quicklock and cuplock systems, jack and base systems, frame systems, walkboards and several special products.
It offers economic and client-specific solutions from design to sale and execution, even renting of equipment for all small and major projects, he says.
