Geant takes space at Dragon Mart
NAKHEEL has signed a lease agreement with international supermarket chain Geant Hypermarket for a 10,000 sq m space in Dubai’s Dragon Mart Phase Two.
Nakheel Retail managing director Adnan Hegrat said: “We are delighted to welcome Geant as a flagship addition to Dragon Mart, where 60 per cent of the leasable area has been booked and paid for. Today’s signing is our third new leasing agreement with Geant, who recently took space at our Discovery Pavilion and Jumeirah Park Pavilion developments in addition to its huge store at Ibn Battuta Mall.”
Phase Two, which is under development, will be a unique project in terms of concept and design, with a large food court and a terraced food and beverage strip overlooking a unique outdoor plaza to accommodate a variety of functions and activities. There will also be various department stores in addition to cinemas and hotels adjacent to Dragon Mart, providing shoppers and visitors even more entertainment and dining options.
Mina Al Arab project completed
GULF Landscape and Irrigation Systems (GLIS), a leading landscaping company owned by Al Khayyat Investments, has announced the completion of its Dh33-million ($9 million) contract for the landscaping of Precinct Five at the prestigious Mina Al Arab waterfront project in Ras Al Khaimah.
Mohamed Sultan Al Qadi, managing director and chief executive officer of RAK Properties, said: “We are pleased with the smooth and timely delivery of the landscaping of Precinct Five of Mina Al Arab.”
The work carried out by GLIS included road works, street lighting, hard landscaping, soft landscaping, irrigation systems, landscape lighting, street furniture, water features, swimming pools and play area equipment. Covering 43 million sq ft, Mina Al Arab includes small water parks, fitness centres, a marina, Arabian-style theme parks and a traditional suq. It also has numerous residential villas and other residential units designed on a wide range of architectural styles, complemented by world-class amenities and facilities. Precinct Five is one of Mina Al Arab’s major components.
St Regis second phase launched
TOURISM Development and Investment Company (TDIC), master-developer of Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi, has launched The Residences, Phase Two, at The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort offering an additional 60 branded apartments for lease and which will be accessible for tenants to move into next month.
The apartments consist of studios, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units, including five luxury penthouses and have been designed by Woods Bagot Architects.
