SEICO, a Jeddah-based manufacturer of electric equipment for the construction sector, has recently introduced cable glands and an under-floor trunking system.
The company, which is ISO 9002 certified, also supplies cable support system and earthing and lightning protection materials.
Seico's products are said to be approved by government bodies and corporate clients such as Saudi Consolidated Electric Company (Sceco)- East and West - and Saudi Aramco.
The company's cable glands, used for connecting cables, are weather, water and explosion-proof and have anti-gas escape, says general manager Mazen Abu Jubara.
Seico's under-floor trunking system is used for laying cable allowing the flexibility of installing outlets where required, he says.
The company has also launched a new hot dip galvanising plant. "Our products and services are being supplied to power plants, petrochemical projects, factories, high-rise buildings, banks and other office buildings," says Jubara.
''The company has a labour force of 72 people and experienced engineers are ready to serve customers any time. It has a well-equipped plant and its machinery is state-of-the-art,' says Jubara. The company was involved in many major projects in Saudi Arabia, including the Saudi Fransi Bank, Safco in Jubail, Yanbu Cement Factory, Qassim power plant, Yanpet and the AT&T's telecom project.
