Dorma showroom is a first for the region

01 April 2013

DORMA, a global manufacturer of door technology systems and allied products, has launched in Dubai a novel showroom, the concept of which will be a first for the region and the second in the world.

‘World of Access’ is a showroom that will be more than just a store for Dorma’s product portfolio, said the company. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, the 280-sq-m showroom will serve the architectural design community with information, guidance and direct experience on doors, hardware and access technology. It will also provide accredited continuing education programmes, instructional sessions, product and service introductions, and additional events serving the design community.

“World of Access is an expression of our strong brand identity and is characterised by true innovative prowess and a clear vision of the future embodying the company’s values of ‘hassle free’, holistic, design, aesthetics and quality and innovation,” said a company spokesman.

Thomas Wagner, Dorma Group CEO, said: “Dorma Gulf has developed into one of the major performers in our company. With this showroom, we aim to maximise our customer focus and translate the acquired market insights into holistic solutions offering the very best in access solutions.”

Ben Shaw, regional director – Middle East and North Africa (Mena), Dorma Gulf, said: “Our objective is to continue to be first-choice partner and to align our products and solutions more closely to our customers and business partners’ requirements.”

Dorma, which opened the world’s first such showroom in New York in December 2012, is currently involved in major regional projects such as King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Saudi Arabia. Other prestigious projects include Dubai International Airport Terminal 4 and Doha International Airport.
