HAVING laid out a defined pattern of investments for continuous growth in the Middle East, Giesse says 2013 was a year of great success and satisfaction. The firm, which offers high-performance hardware for aluminium architectural systems, has struck some strategic partnerships and consolidated its existing ones over the past year.
The region today accounts for more than 500 official fabricators and installers of its renowned hardware for aluminium windows and doors, according to a spokesperson for Giesse, which has been serving the Middle East for more than 20 years.
The Middle East is progressively increasing the application of security and safety EN standards for aluminium windows and doors and with this comes the greater focus on hardware performance, he says. “With the rise in awareness of hardware performance, Giesse hardware – with an incredibly varied platter of technical applications – can make the difference with a little extra that is an investment for the end-users, more than a pure cost.”
Towards this target, Giesse says its team regularly co-ordinates with public authorities, major developers, consultant, architects and contractors in order to spread the knowledge and experience it have gained over the past 65 years and make sure all market operators find a suitable solution within their budgets without compromising on quality.
Giesse acquired the UNI EN ISO 9001 in 1994 and the UNI EN ISO 14001 in 2009. Over the last 20 years, the Italy-based company has developed innovative industrial processes to offer the widest range on the market which currently includes more than 20,000 products.
“Giesse products have been subjected to high performance tests and have been certified in accordance with European (UNCSAAL, CE, IFT) as well as non-European (AAMA, AWA, CNAL) legislative requirements.
“Outstanding efforts are being made by the company towards meeting the new international regulations for environment protection, aside from being certified to the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system,” he adds.
Since 1999, Giesse has successfully taken important steps towards Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)-certified projects, particularly for material recycling and planning innovation. Furthermore, its Italian production plant is now powered by a solar panelling system helping to reduce about 400 tonnes per year of carbon dioxide emissions every year, says the spokesman.
This year is expected to be a challenging one for the Italian industrial group, which has scheduled its participation in all major annual exhibitions and an intensive programme of seminars and conventions, based on its ‘QID’ philosophy – a new corporate philosophy at the company that orients product development and activities towards total and absolute customer satisfaction – which is evaluated in three dimensions: quality, innovation and design.
