Plafixx to showcase region-made plaster

01 April 2015

Plafixx Dry Mix Company of Bahrain will be making its debut at gulfBID next month where it will showcase the wide range of high-quality plasters and mortars manufactured in the region by its Saudi-based associate Wuensch Plaster Company.

It will also demonstrate the ease of spraying these products using the Germany-manufactured PFT G4 mixing pump which it lends to clients for use on projects that utilise its products.

“We are a newcomer on the market and gulfBID offers us an opportunity to create awareness in the region of our products and showcase our services,” says Sajan R, assistant sales manager.

In the spotlight at gulfBID will be the company’s tile adhesives and joint fillers.

Plafixx Dry Mix Company started operations in Bahrain in November last year, basically serving as a sales centre for products manufactured by Wuensch Plaster Company.  The company has a 10,000-sq-m warehouse in Hidd, which is well stocked to serve the needs of the Bahrain market.

Wuensch Plaster Company has a production capacity of 50,000 tonnes per month.

Plafixx combines the latest German dry mix technology with high quality raw materials in the region to provide a wide range of products and services to meet the fast growing and challenging demands of the construction industry. These include dry mix products based on cement and gypsum and backed by more than decade of experience in the Middle East.

The product range includes keycoats, cement renders/plasters, decorative colour renders, decorative texture finishes, insulation mortars, gypsum plasters, masonry mortars, tile adhesives, tile grouts, floor screeds, repair mortars, and non-shrink grouts.

“Factory produced dry mix mortars are much more reliable than site mixed mortars. Each product is accurately produced to ensure the quality and consistency. We also offer the product delivery to the site in bags,” says the company’s spokesman.

He says a range of machines from PFT of Germany is available to suit with the various application and usage of the products at site.

“Machine application ensures the homogeneous and accurate mixing of the dry mix with water, thus eliminating the errors that can occur with manual mixing. The products can reach any distance with a pneumatic conveying system at the press of a button. The system will provide the customers a clear edge in terms of quality and productivity,” he explains, adding, “Plafixx dry mix system will provide a clean and dust free job site adding more value to health, safety and environment.”

Although newly established, Plafixx has already supplied its products to a number of projects in Bahrain including the Panorama Hotel in Juffair and villas in Reef Island.

Among the contractors that it counts on its client list are Al Ghanem Contracting, Al Kobaisi Group, Nass Contracting, and Dadabhai Construction.

Plafixx will be present at Stand 2A02 at gulfBID.
