Oman’s Galfar Engineering has been awarded a RO115-million ($299.21 million) construction contract by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the sultanate’s oil and gas producer.
The contracting company will build a new central processing facility at PDO’s Yibal Khuff project southwest of Muscat.
The contract is duration is 51 months, according to Galfar which added it expects “reasonable income from this project”.
PDO is 60 per cent owned by Oman’s government, 34 per cent by Royal Dutch Shell, four per cent by Total and two per cent by Portugal’s Partex.
