Panasonic has unveiled its innovative Smart Cooling Air Purifier, which not only cleans but also humidifies indoor air with efficient mist cooling technology, according to the Japanese manufacturer which is a global leader in indoor air quality (IAQ) technology.
The two-in-one air purifier features a Hepa (high-efficiency particulate absorption) filter that can capture 99.97 per cent of particles, keeping the indoor environment cleaner, and effectively lowers temperature by up to 10 deg C. Keeping convenience in mind, Panasonic has designed the Smart Cooling Air Purifier with a 360-degree wheel, remote controls, and a 15-litre water tank for longer operating time.
The Smart Cooling Air Purifier was showcased alongside other innovations such as Panasonic’s new air curtain line-up at the recent Middle East Electricity (MEE), the region’s largest power exhibition, held in Dubai, UAE.
Panasonic’s latest air curtain models feature a cross flow fan made of hybrid glassfibre and metal, to prevent dust and damage and allow a 65-mm air flow width.
“The new air curtains are the highlight of Panasonic’s innovation in the indoor air management technology,” says Hidenori Matsubara, deputy general manager, Panasonic Eco Solutions Middle East and Africa. “They help reduce heating or cooling costs of the entire building by helping in preventing heat/cooling loss from the building.”
Available in different lengths ranging from 0.9 m to 1.5 m, these curtains are suitable for installation positions as high as 4 m, which makes them suitable for both homes and commercial use. The new air curtains are available with options of both sensors and remote operation.
Matsubara comments: “With the increased urbanisation and the fast-paced lifestyle people lead, many are unaware of the harmful air pollutants that flourish indoors in the seemingly safe enclosures of our homes, cars or offices. It is important to educate people more about indoor air pollution, especially in this region since we see the occurrence of sandstorms and other emissions. Having patented various technologies in this segment, Panasonic is dedicated to provide its customers with dependable and highly efficient indoor air quality solutions.”
The brand also showcased its signature air purifier models – F-VXL95M, F-VXL40M, F-VK655M, F-PXL45M – which are popular for their deodorising function, Nanoe purification and dust-trapping properties. Nanoe purification is a cutting-edge technology developed by Panasonic that produces nano-sized electrostatic atomised water particles called Nanoe. The technology enables Panasonic air purifiers to inhibit airborne pollutants, as well as reduce odour while providing skin hydration. These air purifiers also come with a Hepa composite filter and 3D circulation airflow, along with indicators and sensors.
Furthermore, Panasonic also exhibited its ventilation solutions including the energy recovery ventilator (ERV) that ventilates homes with minimal energy loss and reduces power consumption up to 61 per cent; the FV-24JR2 and FV-24JA2 ceiling-mount ventilation fans, which comes with a DC brushless motor; and an energy-efficient remote-controlled premium ceiling fan with LED lighting.
According to Panasonic, ERVs are customised to offer performance even in the tough weather conditions of the Middle East.
