The Draw Link Group has expanded into luxury residential interior design and is currently fitting out two high-end residential villas in The Dubai Hills Estate.
Draw Link Group, known for its expertise in interior design and fit-out contracting in the hospitality sector, is currently working on two high-end residential villas in The Dubai Hills Estate, an exclusive community in Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid City.
The new venture marks its expansion into luxury residential interior design and will cater to elite, large-scale residential property owners.
Set to be completed this year, the projects cover design and fit-out services that include a total built-up area of 35,000 sq ft and are worth more than Dh25 million ($6.8 million). According to Daousser Chennoufi, founder and key architect of the Draw Link Group, with the diversification of the company’s offering, it seeks to “redefine luxury design with contemporary elements, to produce unique and extraordinary results”.
Draw Link Group’s ongoing residential projects introduce pioneering design concepts to illustrate smart luxury design through refined details and high-quality materials. The designs can be characterised as bespoke and luxurious, yet sleek and contemporary.
Each of the two villas at the Dubai Hills Estate constitutes three floors – basement, ground and first floors – and have seven bedrooms and bathrooms, three powder rooms, three living rooms and a room each for a driver, nanny and maid.
Additional facilities in the villas include a game room, indoor home theatre, spa room, sauna, jacuzzi, indoor pool, indoor and outdoor gym, walk-in kitchen with a separate area for a show-kitchen, wine cellar, meeting room, office, outdoor lounge, outdoor pool, barbecue area and courtyard.
Work on the project started in November 2016 and currently both the core and shell are done, and interior design concepts approved.
Chennoufi says the two villas belong to two different private clients, who are familiar with Draw Link from its previous projects, such as the Intercontinental Dubai Marina Hotel and Hotel Apartments.
One of the villas is intended to be the main residence for a family of five, while the other is intended to be designed to suit a wider audience.
The family villa, he says, has textured walls as the main design feature, and is designed to have a welcoming warm and cosy family feel with a modern design theme.
On the other hand, the classic villa, which is intended for a wider audience, follows the high-end sophisticated London style, and is meant to have an amicable, sleek and elegant atmosphere with a modern twist.
“In the modern villa, our team gave prominence to large porcelain, slab tiles, wood, marble, onyx, copper, textured wall finishes; while in the classic villa, the main materials used are marble, brass, wood and silk wall coverings,” says Chennoufi.
The classic villa’s colour scheme is based on the selection of luxury natural materials throughout, while the modern family villa has a more experimental colour scheme, having more accent colours.
Chennoufi says a challenge while executing the project was the fact that since the structures of the villas were already built, some design ideas had to be adjusted and spaces reviewed accordingly.
