JTC boosts fleet with Demag cranes

01 July 2017

Kuwait’s Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Company (JTC) has placed an order for five new Demag cranes from Terex Corporation.

The order includes four AC 100-4L and one AC 250-6 all-terrain cranes.

JTC is one of the leading providers of ports management, contract logistics, equipment leasing and power rental services, and is currently expanding its equipment fleet to keep up with the growing demand from its diverse customer base.

The new four-axle Demag AC 100-4L all-terrain crane is claimed to feature the most compact chassis in its class and the AC 250-6 benefits from the longest main boom length in its capacity class with a length of 80 m.

JTC chief executive Adel Kohari said the new cranes will help them do a better job of providing tailor-made services and solutions for their customers.

“The Demag AC 100-4L crane is extremely versatile, which means we can accomplish more lifts in less time than with similar sized units,” he said.

“This new purchase is a part of several initiatives in support of the various infrastructure development projects that JTC is currently executing within the oil and gas and construction industry,” Kohari said.

“Also, Terex Cranes has an outstanding reputation for building quality and reliable cranes, and for providing fast aftermarket support. And, we are excited to see them bring back the Demag brand,” he added.

A major player in the equipment rental, transportation and logistics industry, JCT said these five Demag all-terrain cranes will join its current fleet of Terex and Demag cranes, which includes approximately 20 different models.
