Dubai-based Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) said it has been awarded a major contract by Dubai lnvestments Real Estate Company (DIRC) to develop the first phase of its Mirdif Hills project in the UAE emirate.
The Dh3-billion ($816 million) Mirdif Hills is the only freehold project in Mirdif now with a mixed-use residential, commercial and retail development spread across 3.9 million sq ft. It comprises three plots with a built-up area of 287,180 sq m.
Construction will likely to start soon and is expected to be completed in two years.
The scope of work includes construction, completion and maintenance of commercial and residential buildings, featuring three plots: Al Multaqa Avenue, Janayen Avenue and Nasayem Avenue.
Spread over three distinct areas, Mirdif Hills features a collection of residences, retail outlets, commercial options, hotels and communal recreational facilities.
The estate includes an assortment of studio, one-, two-, three-, four-bedroom flats and duplex units across a cluster of 1,054 individual contemporary apartments, surrounded by greenery, landscaping, and ultramodern amenities.
On the contract win, Khodr Aldah, the director general of ECC, said: “In our 42-year history in the UAE, we have been involved in building a diverse array of projects from healthcare, parks and educational institutes to residential and commercial towers, hotels, shopping malls, restorations and historical buildings.”
