Leading contractors in the UAE continue to turn to Germany’s Paschal-Werk G Maier for formwork solutions to ease work and speed up the execution of some of their landmark buildings in the UAE, including hotels and villas.
Paschal Concrete Forms, the regional office of the German formwork manufacturer, through its Dubai branch office, has supplied its formwork to several key contractors, a number that continues to grow year on year, according to Amir Delghandi, general director of the Bahrain-based office.
Paschal has supplied formwork solutions to Al Hazami Building Contracting for the construction of a six-storey hotel apartment complex, which is currently under construction in Al Barsha South, Dubai. Its systems have been utilised in the construction of the vertical structures in the two basement levels, such as the retaining wall and water tank, as well as the staircase and lift walls, columns and shear walls.
Other hotel projects where Paschal systems have been used include a seven-storey, four-star hotel at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, contracted to ANC Contracting (all the vertical structures); a five-star seven-storey hotel apartment at Palm Jumeirah, constructed by General Construction Company; and a three-storey hotel building in Naif, Dubai, being built by Abu Hail Contracting (for the walls and water tank).
Paschal systems have been used extensively on villa projects as well. They have been utilised on a luxury villa project undertaken by CJ Tec Contracting in Emirates Hills Third, Dubai; four projects in Dubai by Trojan General Contracting including 489 villas in Nad Al Sheba Third (all vertical structures), 668 villas in Mudon Development, 646 townhouses at MBR Gardens in Dubai Hill Estate, and Mira Oasis Townhouses; a villa in Al Safa, Dubai, by General Construction Company; and a whopping 3,000 villas built by National Projects & Construction in Al Ain.
Other projects where the formwork specialist’s systems have been used in Dubai include the Green Community, Motor City, Phases Two and Three, developed by ASGC Construction; the two-storey Akoya clubhouse for Akoya Golf Course developed by Seidco General Contracting; and a seven-storey residential building at Muweilah, Sharjah, by Al Ain General Contracting.
