Terex makes key appointments

Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a Terex Corporation company, has appointed Arjun Mirdha as Genie chief commercial officer and tasked him with expanding the Genie brand globally.

Mirdha will have global responsibility for all commercial aspects, including sales; commercial operations; marketing; parts; services and lifecycle solutions. He will be based in Redmond, Washington, the US.

Commenting on the new appointment, Matt Fearon, Genie president, Terex AWP, said: “The Genie brand has a leading reputation and position in the global marketplace, and in this new role, Arjun’s goal will be to grow our organisation and opportunities in all the industries we serve.”

Mirdha said: “I look forward to continuing on the company’s legacy of bringing innovative products to the marketplace, growing market share and leading our future customer solutions initiatives.”

Before joining Terex AWP, Mirdha spent 21 years at JCB, most recently as president and CEO of the company’s North America business. He has extensive work experience in Europe, Asia and the US.

Meanwhile, another Terex Corporation firm Terex Cranes has announced the return of Thomas Schramm as vice-president sales and product support, EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia). His role will be to drive sales and product support strategy and lead team members for the extensive line of Terex and Demag branded mobile and crawler crane models. Additionally, he will act as a Demag brand ambassador globally.

Schramm began his career in the crane industry with Demag in 1987. Throughout his career at Demag and Terex, he held several sales positions, including director international sales.

With Schramm’s return to Terex, Carsten von der Geest has taken the role of vice-president of global commercial operations and global used equipment. In this new position, von der Geest will drive ongoing activities and process improvements across Terex commercial organisations globally and lead global used equipment efforts. Additionally, he will take on a leadership role with several strategic customers.

“Thomas and Carsten are the right team for leading crane sales and creating more efficient internal processes. They will help to advance our objectives of streamlining the business, delivering commercial excellence and regaining our industry leadership position,” said Steve Filipov, president of Terex Cranes.
