ASGC, a leading UAE construction group, said it has achieved a major milestone on Emaar’s Harbour Views project in Dubai Creek Harbour with the raft to the eighth-floor level completed on time and achieving 20 per cent overall completion on the two high-rise residential towers.
Announcing the project’s progress, ASGC said the foundation of the buildings were completed ahead of schedule. A total of 17,800 cu m of concrete were used for the concrete work for the two towers.
Located in the verdant Gallery Park area of Dubai Creek Harbour, the Harbour Views project reflects the meticulous planning, creative vision and pursuit of perfection that are the hallmark of any Emaar development, says the Emirati contractor.
The project comprises two residential towers with 50 floors each, three podium levels, and two basements with a total built-up area of 1.92 million sq ft.
CEO Bishoy Azmy says: “ASGC is proud to strengthen its relationship with Emaar by partnering in the Harbour Views project. The fact that Emaar has selected us again for another exciting project shows the trust that they have in us.”
ASGC’s strategy, he states, is to utilise advanced monitoring and controlling systems using 4D Simulation Planned while delivering updates using BIM (building information modelling) solutions and drones to provide the client with progress photos and videos throughout the construction process, explains Azmy.
“With the use of our expertise and advanced tech-solutions, we are able to deliver iconic projects such as the Harbour Views residential towers on time and to the highest standards of quality that ASGC is synonymous with,” he adds.
The leading contractor clinched a key deal last month when it was appointed as the main contractor for AccorHotels’ 434-room property, 25hours One Central.
Located in Dubai World Trade Centre’s One Central development and expected to open by 2020, the new property upon completion will be the largest 25hours Hotel property worldwide with 434 rooms over nine floors, plus one ground level and four basement levels.
Ground has already been broken on the site with ASGC planning to deploy its technology-driven strategy on the project, using cutting-edge solutions such as drones with high-definition closed-circuit television and 360-degree video-capturing systems, to monitor progress at the site.
On the project win, Azmy says: “It is a privilege to work on such an iconic hospitality project, one that will become the largest in the 25hours Hotel global portfolio.”
“In matching with the vision of AccorHotels and DWTC, we will be leveraging the very best techniques, technologies and talent to ensure smooth project completion and deliver to the impeccable standards that we are all committed to,” he adds.
With a strong portfolio of prestigious properties behind it, ASGC is known for delivering turnkey projects in the UAE since 1989, including recent landmarks such as City Walk, Etihad Museum and the Waldorf Astoria – Palm Jumeirah.
In addition to undertaking large-scale construction projects, ASGC offers related construction products and services, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, steel structural work, readymix concrete and precast products, as well as interior fit-outs through a number of subsidiaries.
