Oman’s Galfar Engineering and Construction has been awarded a subcontract worth $41 million for the Salalah LPG project by Petrofac E&C Oman.

It covers the CMEI (civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) works, Package One of the project, the company says.

 Petrofac is building the plant for Salalah LPG (SLPG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oman Oil Facilities Development Company (OOFDC).

 The subcontract is expected to be completed in approximately 21 months.

 This is an important contract for  Galfar and further serves to underpin its revenue streams, the company says.
