Design, technology, functionality and comfort are key watchwords that drive innovation at Geberit, says the European leader in the field of sanitary solutions, which today offers a one-stop shop for bathroom requirements.
Whether it is the front-of-wall ceramics or behind-the-wall installation systems, the company applies its vast know-how and almost 150 years of experience in the field of sanitary technology to ensure its products are not just beautiful to look at but also make life easier and more comfortable.
“Responsibly made from the finest, durable materials, Geberit products are a perfect balance of elegant design and outstanding function,” says Gabriel Nassar, managing director of the Gulf office of Geberit. “They are easy to clean, easy to use and increase comfort, highlighting the limitless possibilities created when design meets function.”
Its expertise in installation systems ‘behind the wall’ demonstrate why it is the European leader in sanitary technology, while its flush technology saves water through low flush volumes and offers high reliability with a guaranteed spare parts availability of 25 years.
Geberit concealed cisterns are available in different heights to fit every bathroom and are equipped for installations requiring electrical connections. This means shower toilets, odour extraction units, touchless flush plates and other devices can be installed or retrofitted quickly and easily.
Turning to flush plates, Nassar says among Geberit’s latest offerings is the Sigma21. The high-quality standard frameless base unit of this actuator plate can be enhanced with a virtually limitless variety of individually selected materials, if desired. Featuring organic round buttons, the flush plate offers vast possibilities for personalisation, with a wide range of designs, surface finishes, and customisable options to create a product that seamlessly complements any bathroom design.
In addition, Sigma21 is also available in a choice of luxury materials, including mustang slate – real slate sourced from Brazil – as well as black, white and sand glass.
“However, it is not just about the design; the flush plate hides a wealth of technology and functionality behind it, including the Geberit sanitary installation systems, the cistern itself, and even odour extraction with the Geberit Sigma40.
“The flush plates don’t just look great – they have versatile functions, catering to a range of applications and special structural requirements. They combine intelligent functions with convenience, ensuring a heightened sense of freshness and cleanliness in the bathroom. Geberit flush plates are made of high-quality, durable, lightfast materials with plastic or glass surfaces and manufactured of die-cast zinc or stainless steel to meet more demanding requirements – and manual, electronic or pneumatic flush actuation can be used,” says Nassar.
Meanwhile, its large selection of ceramics provides the perfect solutions to create a beautiful bathroom, says Nassar. Some of these, such as Citterio and Zeno2 bathroom ceramics series, are offered with a protective ceramic glaze to facilitate optimal hygiene and cleanliness. Geberit KeraTect, applied in addition to the standard glaze, fuses permanently with the ceramic, creating a virtually non-porous and extremely smooth surface which helps prevent staining and dirtying of the ceramics, making cleaning easier and maintaining a high-gloss effect.
To enhance hygiene and ease of cleaning, Geberit offers rimfree toilets that are designed entirely without a flush rim. “As rimfree toilets are much easier to clean, they are the first choice when it comes to toilet hygiene. Without a flush rim, there are no hidden, hard-to-reach places where odours, germs, bacteria, dirt and deposits can accumulate. These toilets are equipped with a specially developed and patented flush guide which ensures a targeted and hygienic flush every time, making the WC (water closet) easy to clean, and leaving a sparkling ceramic surface with a single wipe,” Nasser says.
Geberit has a long history of innovation. “From creating the first concealed cistern in 1964, to bringing shower toilet technology to the European market with Geberit AquaClean, we have been at the forefront of bathroom innovation for over 140 years,” he claims.
“Other innovations include fog-free mirrors, touchless flushing, wall-hung toilets and integrated odour-extraction, giving you freedom to create the bathroom design of your dreams with an exceptional functional design,” he says.
The ceramics and fittings lines are complemented with Geberit bathroom furniture that offers elegant surfaces, clean designs and elements that work beautifully with the ceramics. Only high-quality, moisture-resistant materials and highly durable fittings are used in creating this furniture, Nassar says.
The series comprises a wide range of bathroom cabinets with elements such as mirrors and mirror cabinets available for each series. The collections incorporate many details including the clever ergonomical arrangements of compartments, drawers and soft lighting that not only create practical storage space but enhance the bathroom aesthetics, Nassar concludes.
