DHCC project nearly ready
Azizi Developments said work was moving at a steady pace on its Dh470-million ($128 million) Azizi Aliyah Residences coming up in the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC).
The developer said construction is almost complete with the conclusion of the mobilisation and structure phases, while mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works and finishes are well under way.
Azizi Aliyah Residences will offer a total of 346 fully serviced residences with 191 studios, 135 one-bedroom apartments, and 20 two-bedroom apartments, along with upscale retail space of 16,000 sq ft within DHCC.
BASF opens major lab in Dubai
BASF’s Construction Chemicals division has launched a new regional competence centre, a development laboratory, at Dubai Science Park in Dubai.
The new 6,000-plus-sq-ft facility will be one of only eight regional development laboratories, three of which are located in Europe, two in North America and two more in the Asia Pacific region. The facility comprises a reactive resin laboratory, a powder laboratory, an analytical laboratory and office spaces, featuring state-of-the-art equipment that can characterise raw materials and determine the physical properties of diverse construction materials. The core competencies of the laboratory cover all key technologies of modern construction materials such as repair mortars, tile fixing products, protective coatings, sealants, waterproofing membranes, car park coatings and decorative flooring material.
Ducab to supply Adnoc projects
Ducab has secured three major contracts in Abu Dhabi for the supply of over 5,000 km of cables and all aluminium alloy overhead conductors for Adnoc-related projects. The contracts are for extra-high-voltage (EHV), high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) cables.
The new contracts include the design, manufacturing, and supply of 220 kV EHV cables, 132 kV HV along with a range of MV, LV power and control cable systems for the clean fuel and waste-heat recovery project that is being delivered through Samsung-CBI, said the company.
Ducab will also supply cables for the Bab Integrated Facility project, and cables and aluminium overhead conductors for the onshore Qusahwira Field Development Phase II project.
