Industry leaders from across the buildings ecosystem came together at the Future Proof conference to discuss how technology is disrupting the way built environments are managed and operated.

Organised by Facilio, a US and UAE-based innovative proptech start-up, last month (March 14) at The Palace Down Town in Dubai, UAE, the summit was attended by facility managers, real estate leaders, developers, energy service companies, and customers who shared experiences, challenges and pain-points of technology-enabled transformation.

According to Prabhu Ramachandran, founder and CEO of Facilio, integrating technology in real estate is no longer an option, it is an imperative. “With Future Proof, we created a platform for industry leaders to share their experiences to help guide new entrants wanting to adopt technology, and mitigating their fears associated with technology adoption.”

The format saw open discussions and incisive debates on a platform that encouraged audience engagement. Interactive panel discussions led by industry leaders helped identify how technology has disrupted other sectors and the need and benefits of  connected and smart buildings.
