Washbasin from Geberit’s myDay collection ... offering a high degree of flexibility.

Geberit makes myDay emotive, relaxing

01 June 2019

Geberit’s new bathroom designer range, myDay, is set to impress with its soft organic and yet emotive shapes, while offering creative freedom to users to make their own personal style a reality.

The new range comprises washbasins, bathtubs, water closets (WCs) and bidets, as well as furniture that all combine to produce a natural ‘feel-good’ aesthetic for the bathroom that provides a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, according to a top company official.

However, myDay doesn’t just boast good looks, it also has a lot to offer in terms of functions.

“Geberit customers will be able to take advantage of products that combine perfect design and sophisticated functionality in a unique way,” says Gabriel Nassar, managing director of Geberit’s Representative Office Gulf.

myDay’s flowing, elegant shapes create an ambience of natural lightness. This is down to the unique design of the ceramic sanitary appliances, including washbasins which incorporate soft curves and large radii.

Standard washbasin sizes as well as a double and countertop washbasin offer a high degree of flexibility that caters for personal design preferences. The large-sized drain covers with high-quality chrome edging are practical and elegant.

All sanitary ceramics from this series are sealed with Geberit KeraTect ceramic glaze for optimal hygiene.

KeraTect, which ensures many years of protection for ceramic surfaces, is baked on as a special glaze and has a virtually non-porous and extremely smooth surface that can be kept clean easily and efficiently. KeraTect is virtually non-porous and extremely smooth; acts as a dirt-repellent, and is hygienic and clean; it is very easy to clean and look after; and is durable and scratchproof.

The wall-hung WC from the myDay range fits in perfectly and is the ideal addition to the design line, says Nassar. The straight lines are also characteristically rounded here and offer a look that is both solid and delicate at the same time. The hidden wall fixing and the closed outer contour also contribute to the balanced overall appearance.

The WC seat combines with the ceramic appliance in a stylish and sophisticated way and is optionally available with a soft-closing mechanism. The nonporous surface is completely smooth and therefore dirt-repellent and easy to clean.

“The bidet, whose design perfectly matches that of the WC, is also a thing of beauty. The soft curves provide a comfortable grip and the interior of the stylish bidet is so well designed,” says Nasser.

The myDay bathtub is generously sized and boasts the sophisticated flowing design seen throughout the rest of the series. The appearance is characterised by soft inner contours. The bathtub and shower tray have the same perfectly designed drain covers with chrome edging as those used on the washbasins.

The bathroom furniture from the designer range stands out thanks to the softly rounded edges on the fronts. The interior impresses with practical features and comfort-enhancing details such as anti-slip mats and internal LED lighting in the washbasin cabinets. Illuminated mirrors are available with anti-mist function as standard.

Meanwhile, Geberit has updated its smartphone Pro app, which has been used by sanitary professionals for many years. The company has now given the app a facelift, added new functions and made it even more intuitive to use. In just a few short steps, installers and plumbers can now find all the information they require. This includes information from the various catalogues, details on products and their spare parts, and special calculation tools such as one for determining the pipe diameter.

“Another new feature is the possibility of bookmarking products,” says Nassar. “The app also remembers the products, spare parts or documents the user visited last and displays them accordingly. In combination with the greatly simplified full-text search, the Geberit Pro app is ideal for everyday use on the building site.”

The Geberit Pro app is available free of charge in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
