JGE’s twin tower complete
Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE), a major residential golf destination offering luxury homes and leisure facilities set amid two internationally-acclaimed championship golf courses in Dubai, has announced the completion of Alandalus towers A and B.
The towers, which feature one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments that offer large indoor-outdoor living spaces, have already been sold out, says GE.
The delivery of Alandalus tower A units was completed earlier this year, while tower B is being currently handed over to the owners. According to JGE, Tower C is scheduled for handover in the fourth quarter, while the remaining towers D, E, F, and G are on track for Q2 2020 delivery. The project offers 715 apartments, 95 townhouses, a mosque, a hotel, and a community retail centre.
Dubai Frame wins recognition
Dubai Frame, the UAE’s national cultural landmark developed by the Dubai Municipality, has been awarded the certificate of Guinness Book of World Records for the “largest building in the shape of a picture frame.”
An architectural wonder, Dubai Frame stands 150.4-m tall with a 95.5-m width built to resemble a huge picture frame at Zabeel Park offering views of both the historic and modern parts of the city.
Dubai Frame has attracted more than a million visitors in its first year and won a series of awards as an architectural and engineering masterpiece that attracts the world’s attention. The space between the two towers gives a pretty clear view for the city from a high altitude to serve as an architectural masterpiece decorating Zabeel area and Zabeel Park.
Tenders due for 250 homes
UAE-based Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme has given the go-ahead for the launch of engineering consultancy tenders for the construction of a 250-unit residential neighbourhood at Khor Fakkan in Sharjah’s Eastern Region.
Every housing unit of the residential neighbourhood will have an area of 360 sq m with three to four bedrooms that could be expanded in the future.The winning group will provide the planning, design and supervision services for the project.
The housing project is estimated to cost between Dh800 million to Dh1 billion ($218 million to $272 million) and is likely to be completed by the end of 2022. The programme has built five residential neighbourhoods totalling 1,490 housing units and three more comprising 1,990 units are under way.
