In line with its strategy to expand and promote itself as a leading provider of integrated solutions for conventional and sustainable energy, the Saudi-headquartered alfanar recently participated in the Hannover Messe International Industrial Fair 2019, the world’s largest showcase for industrial technology held in Hannover, Germany, from April 1 to 5.
The exhibition served as a platform for alfanar to unveil its latest renewable energy solutions and techniques for concentrating solar power (CSP), photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind farms, as well as its advanced product portfolio for smart grid technology, substation automation systems (SAS), distribution automation systems (DAS), distribution transformers, power distribution and control panels of low- and medium-voltage, and protection panels.
alfanar also showcased its innovative collections of high-tech electrical products and equipment that conform to various global quality standards. These products included switches and sockets, low- (LV), medium- (MV) and high-voltage (HV) power cables, and special-application cables manufactured in alfanar’s production facilities around the world, including alfanar Industrial City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; ZIV in Spain; EA in Italy; and SFA in Turkey.

The expo, held under the motto of ‘Integrated Industry – Connect & Collaborate’, was attended by more than 215,000 visitors, 86,000 of whom were from outside Germany, who explored the innovative products put on display by 6,500 exhibitors from 75 nations.
Apicorp financing for alfanar
The Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (Apicorp) has signed a strategic five-year Murabaha financing facility worth $75 million with Saudi-based alfanar Company, a top developer and EPC for clean energy and manufacturer of electrical products.
The financing was signed in support of alfanar’s renewables energy projects, including the wind project in Spain. According to Jamal Wadi, chief executive officer, alfanar Global Development, alfanar is committed to further double its portfolio in the next few years. The signing of the Murabaha agreement with Apicorp brings it a step closer to realising its commitment.
