Epiroc bucket screeners speed work on site

Sweden-based Epiroc has widened its already extensive portfolio of hydraulic attachment tools with a range of bucket screeners, such as the BS 1600 and BS 2200.

The new bucket screeners with service weights of 1,710 kg (BS 1600) and 2,450 kg (BS 2200), combine the best of modern design and sturdy construction to bring customers in the recycling and rock excavation business an even more complete solution.

Hydraulic power is transmitted to the basket via a timing belt that doesn’t require tensioning. This reliable transmission solution delivers optimum torque and reduces maintenance time, says a spokesman for the company.

Commenting on the new additions, Gordon Hambach, global marketing manager Epiroc Hydraulic Attachment Tools division, says: “The demands on our customers are constantly increasing and we are happy to now extend our offer with a product that we know will help them save time and make money. Sorting material on-site really increases efficiency and the new Epiroc bucket screeners are as reliable and fast as they come.”

The large diameter of the main roller bearing enabled Epiroc to fit a much longer basket, compared to other screeners on the market. “The bigger screening area gives significant increase in performance and ensures high quality output,” says Hambach.

Furthermore, the basket features a polygonal design, with 12 sides rather than a smooth rounded surface. This shape enables the material to be shaken in a very effective way to speed up the screening process. The material then passes through hexagonal openings in the mesh and becomes high-quality aggregates produced from rocks, crushed concrete and recycled material – straight on the job site. Depending on the needs and requirements, customers can choose from baskets with six different mesh size openings: 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 mm.

The new Epiroc bucket screeners are available in two sizes, for carriers between 18 to 38 tonnes. High-resistant steel construction ensures a long lifespan in a harsh working environment.

Based in Stockholm, Epiroc is a leading global productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. Using cutting-edge technology, it develops and produces innovative, safe and sustainable drill rigs, rock excavation and construction equipment and tools. The company also provides world-class service and solutions for automation and interoperability.

Epiroc’s Hydraulic Attachment Tools division develops and manufactures hydraulic attachment tools for carriers, which are applied in construction, demolition, recycling and mining and rock excavation, handling concrete, steel and other materials.
