H+A Global, a multidisciplinary design firm specialising in healthcare, hospitality and residential design, said it has been signed up by Anfas Medical Care Health Group (AMCHG) to provide advisory, architecture, interior and landscape design services for its new wellness village project in Jeddah.
The Wellness Village is a major project of AMCG, a Saudi-based specialist in providing health services mainly dedicated to long-term lung problems.
Work on the Wellness Village project is set to start in the second quarter of 2020 and is to be completed in 2022.
The upcoming facility boasts a long-term care centre, women and children’s facilities, wellness clinics, a boutique wellness hotel and spa, sports fitness facilities, health-related food and beverage (F&B) and retail outlets. It will provide a holistic end-to-end approach to healthcare with a focus on preventative care for the local population as well as visitors, from birth to retirement age, said a top official.
The masterplan is made up of three plots over a site area of 35,370 sq m. Plots are visually connected so they read as a single campus within a wellness orientated, landscaped garden, stated managing director Stas Louca.
The goal is to provide a healthcare and wellness environment which heals the body, mind and soul through related activities and services that are interconnected. AMCHG CEO Mamdouh Albaqumi said the vision for the project was to create a first-of-its-kind, world-class, preventative healthcare and wellness campus in the Ar Rehab area of Jeddah.
