Geberit expands bathrooms range

The regional office of Geberit, a European leader in the field of sanitary products, has launched a range of new products for the GCC market, including Geberit One WC for bathrooms of the future and an innovative furniture range for Geberit VariForm lay-on washbasins.

The products were unveiled during a key event in March at the Four Seasons Resort Hotel, Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, UAE, which was attended by leading architects, designers, developers, engineers, project managers and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) professionals.

The attendees were given an update on Geberit’s new products and their features and additions to the existing front- and behind-the-wall range of products which are now available in the region. Geberit also introduced new tools available to industry professionals.

Among its latest innovations is Geberit One, a pioneering, fully-integrated and comprehensive solution for the entire bathroom made possible by integrating many components behind the wall.

“Cleverly combined in a single system, Geberit One offers the chance to demonstrate its many benefits – both obvious and hidden. This means greater cleanliness, more space and greater flexibility in the bathroom and a functional design for a better quality of life,” says Gabriel Nassar, managing director of Geberit’s Representative office Gulf.

The new furniture range for Geberit VariForm lay-on washbasins makes it possible to create customised solutions for the washbasin area. The slimline, compact laminate panel, which is just 4-mm thick and features a black line around the outside, ties in with the current trend towards minimalist design.  The unobtrusive external design continues on the inside. The drawers are designed without a trap cut-out, enabling users to make the best possible use of the interior space.

Meanwhile, the Geberit Option range of illuminated mirrors or mirror cabinets will complement the VariForm items perfectly, he adds.

These illuminated mirrors are available in three lines: Option Basic, which has LED striplights integrated at the side; Option, which features a broad LED light strip on the upper edge; and Option Plus, which uses direct and indirect lighting at the top and bottom to create a special ambiance. It is also dimmable and comes with anti-mist heating.

Geberit Option Plus mirror shows the person standing in front of it and the washbasin area in exactly the right light.  The mirror’s lighting concept comprises two central light elements. One light strip illuminates the ceiling and the wall above the mirror. The other light strip illuminates the washbasin area itself.

The indirect lighting perfectly illuminates the person in front of the mirror. If the light is too bright, it can be dimmed by the user using sensors. The mirror’s anti-mist heating can be activated manually in order to prevent the glass from steaming up after a hot bath or shower.

The Geberit Option Plus mirror is now available in the region in the following sizes: 40/60/75/90/120 cm.

Geberit has also expanded its Selnova bathroom series significantly. In the case of Selnova Square, the focus is on a modern range of furniture with new colour options and a comprehensive selection of rimless water closets (WCs) with a timeless design.  This is in addition to many clever solutions for special requirements, making it very easy and affordable to renovate an old bathroom.

Also expanded is the company’s CleanLine shower channel range with the addition of the CleanLine80 model. The new features include an in-the-channel integrated slope, the anti-fingerprint coating and the form stamped solid collector profile.

The CleanLine80 is available in two sizes and can be cut to length to suit the site requirements.  It is available in three colours, in line with the current tile trends: champagne, black chrome and stainless steel.

Among other developments, Geberit offers actuator plates in new, fashionable metal colours and surfaces that are the perfect match for any decor style. The new metal colours offered include black chrome, red gold and brass; the new surface variants are walnut and concrete look.

Geberit’s actuator plates Sigma20 – with round buttons for large and small flush volumes – and Sigma30 – with square flush actuation buttons – are now offered in new designs. In addition to the chrome-plated versions, the design rings and stripes are now also available tone in tone with the plate and the buttons in white and white matt coated as well as black and black matt. The matt versions feature an easy-to-clean coating.

Turning to its latest drainage solutions, Nassar says the Geberit Pluvia roof outlet with flange for gutters is now available with a capacity of 25 litres per second and with a connection diameter of d90. The new Geberit Pluvia roof outlet can be used for gutters with a minimum width of 30 cm.

Also, the Geberit Silent-db20 connection ring seal socket is now available with lip seal to enable additional pipelines to be inserted with less force. The socket can be used with electrofusion couplings without additional effort. The ring seal socket is available in the dimension DN 56/50.

Finally, with the Geberit BIM Catalogue plug-in for Autodesk Revit, sanitary engineers have direct access to the Geberit BIM (building information modelling) database featuring the country-specific Geberit product range. The Geberit Revit families feature simplified, basic geometries and cover all planning-related metadata. The lightweight models not only enable efficient operation, but also make the most of hardware and software capacities, meaning they can be incorporated easily and efficiently into even large and complex projects.
