Marmomac set for September relaunch

Marmomac, the landmark event for the natural stone industry, is looking to relaunch the natural stone value chain when it opens this year at Veronafiere, Italy. The event’s special edition, which runs from September 30 to October 3, is aimed at taking the sector towards a “new normal” in the post Covid-19 period.
Verona launches its “Marmomac Re-Start 2020” project in support of a supply chain which in Italy boasts 3,000 companies and turnover worth $2.9 billion, said the organisers.
The world of marble, granite, processing technologies and design was severely tested by the lockdown, coming in the wake of 2019 results which highlighted 7 per cent decline in exports of processed products.
Hence, the event aims to provide exhibitors and visitors with an exhibition format that is even more tailored to the renewed needs of business and exports, in complete safety from a health perspective and with even more services, said the organisers.
