Bahrain’s Housing Minister Bassem bin Yacoub Al Hamar has announced that the work is moving at a steady pace on the East Hidd Town development with construction fully completed on the 740-unit Qlaiaa neighbourhood project, reported BNA.
Around 90 per cent of Phase Two of the Bu Shaheen neighbourhood project comprising 398 housing units, and 91 per cent of the 375-unit Umm Al-Sawali neighbourhood project have been completed, the report stated.
The remarkable progress on these projects has been due to the housing ministry’s efforts to quicken the pace of construction projects to meet HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s plan to build 40,000 housing units for the citizens, remarked Yacoub Al Hamar.
This comes from the government’s keenness to maintain housing projects as top priorities to ensure a decent living for citizen.
